From botanical names to serving directions: a simple way to understand a supplement label.

Your label, made easier to read.

The product name is a starting point. Before making a purchase, look for the full ingredient list, the amount in each capsule, the serving instructions and any warnings. A photograph of the front label alone does not give you the whole picture.

“500 mg per capsule” describes the declared fill. It does not tell you how many capsules to take or when to take them. Use the serving directions on the current product label; do not derive a dose from the ingredient table.

A familiar common name and a botanical name can make the list easier to interpret. Plant part, preparation form and extract details are separate facts. If a panel does not state them, ask for clarification rather than assuming.

Capsule shells, excipients and other ingredients matter too. If you are checking dietary preferences or an allergy, ask for the complete final label rather than relying on the ingredient highlights.

Save the product name and ask for the current label, pack details and availability. For personal suitability, medication interactions or combinations, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

This guide is general product information, not personalised medical advice. Read the current product label and seek appropriate professional guidance for individual suitability.
